SKY TV Terms and Conditions

Standard set-up for new customers: Standard set up for new Sky TV customers joining online is £60 for a standard Sky box, £30 for a Sky+ box (£15 standard set up for Sky+ customers taking Multiroom) and, for a limited time only, free for new customers taking a Sky+HD box and the HD Pack.

Standard set-up for existing customers: Standard set-up for existing Sky TV customers is £60. Non-standard set-up may cost extra. Activation for existing customers taking Sky Broadband only is £60 for Base, £30 for Everyday & Connect or free for Unlimited.

Sky digital Subscription: Packages currently £16.50-£46 a month. Some prices may increase from 1/9/09 and for VAT change from 1/1/10.

Sky TV Subscription: Packages from £16.50-£46 a month. Sky News and Sky Three are available without subscription; Sky Three, Ch4, Five, Five US and Fiver require a viewing card.

Sky+: Sky+ box box free to new customers joining Sky TV through packages.sky.com and taking Sky Sports and/or Sky Movies. Otherwise, Sky+ box £99 when you take Sky TV and existing customers sign up to another 12 month minimum term for Sky TV. One £99 box per household and not available if you already have Sky+/SkyHD/Sky+HD box. Sky+ box price £199 for customers not eligible for £99 box price (Sky TV subscription required). Sky+ can store an average of 40 hours of programmes. Sky+ functionality requires a Sky+ subscription (free for Sky TV customers, or £9.75 pm) and two satellite feeds.

Sky+HD: The channels you receive with the HD Pack depend on your Sky TV package. Sky+HD requires Sky TV, a Sky+HD box and the HD Pack (£9.75 extra pm) and is the new name for Sky HD. Sky+ functionality requires a Sky+ subscription (free for Sky TV customers, or £9.75 pm) and two satellite feeds. You need a HD Ready TV to experience the full benefits of Sky+HD.

Money back guarantee: If you cancel Sky+/Sky+HD within one calendar month of activation, we will refund the cost of your box (but not any subscription or set up charges you have paid).

Sky Multiroom: £10 a month. Provides the same Sky TV channels as your main Sky TV subscription on a box in another room. You must subscribe to Sky TV throughout and an extra box is required for each Multiroom subscription. Each box you have must be connected to the same fixed telephone line at all times. If you're not eligible for a free Sky box, a standard Sky box is £49 with Multiroom (£99 without). To receive your HD subscription channels in another room, you'll need another Sky+HD box and HD Pack subscription.

General: Pre-registration required for existing customers due to exceptional demand. Once registered you will receive an indication of when you can complete your order. Your Sky box(es) must be connected to a fixed telephone line for 12 months. Sky+/Sky+HD box prices may vary if you live in a flat. You must get any consents required (e.g. landlord's). Minimum Sky TV/Sky+/HD Pack/Multiroom subscriptions 12 months. You must be 18 years or over. Prices subject to change. Information only applies to residential customers in UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Prices shown apply to customers paying by Direct Debit. For continuous debit/credit card mandate, an additional 50p per month is payable. Further terms apply. Calls cost 5p per minute (plus up to 8p connection fee) for BT customers. For £18.50 you'll get Sky TV 2 entertainment packs (£18.50 a month), Sky Broadband Base (for £0 a month when you take Sky Talk, otherwise £5 a month) and Sky Talk Freetime (£0 a month)

Sky TV Subscription: Packages from £18-£48.50 per month (pm). Sky Box Office costs extra.

Free HD Pack offer: For existing Sky TV customers, we will credit £9.75 (£10 from 01.01.10) to your Sky account within 60 days of set-up if you complete your order for Sky+HD via sky.com or Sky Active.

Remote Record: Recording requests must be made at least 30 minutes before start of programme. Confirmation costs 25p. Mobile network charges apply. See Sky Active OR sky.com for full details.

Sky Anytime TV: Sky+ subscription & Sky+HD or recent Sky+ box required. Available programming will depend on your Sky TV subscription.

Sky Player: Price and availability of content depends on whether you are a Sky TV customer and the kind of subscription you have. PC with Microsoft Windows XP or Vista or Intel based Mac required. Sky Multiroom, Broadband Unlimited, or Sky Player subscription required for Live TV. Minimum 2Mb broadband connection recommended. Some programmes from live Sky TV channels are unavailable to show online (see skyplayer.sky.com).
